Sore achy feet can be really painful, but there is away to soothe them by making a homemade cooling foot soak to use in a footbath for soaking your feet in. The cooling foot soak helps relieve achy tired sore feet by providing them with a cooling sensation that it very soothing to the feet.

The ingredients you will need to make the cooling foot soak are 5 cups of sea salt, 1 cup of baking soda, 10 drops of camphor oil, 5 drops of eucalyptus oil, and 10 drops of peppermint oil. You can find these ingredients in your local herbal store and grocery store. They are slightly expensive, but they are worth having on hand to make the cooling foot soak.

The way to make the homemade cooling foot soak is by pouring the 5 cups of sea salt, 1 cup of baking soda, 10 drops of camphor oil, 5 drops of eucalyptus oil, and 10 drops of peppermint oil into a medium metal bowl. Than you will take a metal spoon and combined them together until you get a white gritty powder that has a eucalyptus mint aroma to it. Once you have made the cooling foot soak you can place it into a container with a lid and seal it up and store it away some place cool and dry until you are ready to use it for soothing your achy feet.

The best way to use the homemade cooling foot soak is by taking 1 cup of it and pouring it directly into a footbath filled with warm water. Than you place your feet in the foot bath and the cooling foot soak will help provide your feet with a cooling sensation while your feet are soaking in warm water to help relieve the sore achy feeling in them. The sea salt and baking soda with warm water will help soften your feet right up and relieve stiffness, the camphor, eucalyptus, and peppermint oil help provide a cooling soothing sensation to relieve the pain. You will want to soak your feet for about 20 to 30 minutes in the foot soak to really help make them feel a whole lot better. I wouldn’t recommend you use this cooling foot soak if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in it.

So, next time you have achy feet make and use the cooling foot soak to help relieve pain and stiffness in your feet.
